STEM STUDENTS: STEM for Development will be presenting on best practices for writing scientific abstracts, which will include live evaluation of abstracts submitted by meeting participants. To submit an abstract on one of your research projects, please send it to info@stemfordevelopment.org by Friday, April 19. All submissions will be anonymized. Nicholas Offei and Hauwa Adedo will present, and they hope to see you there on Saturday, April 20 at 1pm GMT!

 FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICANTS: STEM for Development will be hosting Dr. Huyen Le, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at The Ohio State University (https://u.osu.edu/huyenle/) for her talk entitled Graduate School Applications: Looking from Both Sides. We hope to see you there on Saturday, April 13 at 1pm GMT!

In her talk, Dr. Le will leverage her experience as a former international student and now professor to describe what international applicants tend to think when applying to graduate school and what professors think about when reviewing applications. She will also discuss how applicants can (i) find suitable programs and research groups, (ii) improve their research experiences before applying, and (iiii) identify key information to complete their applications.

FOR ASPIRING ENGINEERS: STEM for Development will be hosting Dr. Jennifer Pazour, Professor and PhD Coordinator of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (https://lnkd.in/eFfyNuNP) for her Career Webinar entitled Why the World Needs More Industrial and System Engineers.
